Sargent Family Dairy has a deeply ingrained, generational love for dairy farming. The knowledge and passion to care for Jersey cows started with the original Bruce Sargent in the early 1900’s, and runs through the family to this day. The Sargent’s could think of no better lifestyle than working together, as a family, on our beautiful property, to raise our cows and create great milk. Many farmers dream of selling their milk directly to their own community, and the Sargent family is so grateful to be able to live that dream.
The Sargent family has always enjoyed their milk straight from the farm, and they are excited to share their pasture-raised fresh milk with their community! Jersey milk naturally has a high cream content, and is rich in colour. Everything that the Sargent Family Dairy produces is handmade and minimally processed. The only thing that is added to their milk is vitamins and carefully selected flavours.
We live, work and play on our farm. It is of the utmost importance to us to care for the land that sustains use and constantly improve it for the next generation. Any waste from the cows is returned to the land to fertilize next year's crop and we use minimum tillage practices in growing feed for our cows. Pasture raised animals also provide a great habitat for local wildlife & capture carbon from the atmosphere as fuel to grow the pasture grasses. Our help is all local and we are committed to providing them an enjoyable and safe place to work with fair compensation.
If you are ever up north of Enniskillen, there is a pasture laneway where you can park your car and visit with our cows. The cows are most active in the morning, but enjoy a good head or ear scratch anytime that they are up at the road.
